Shreetama Rudra
Academic Head, VSL
I began my journey with VSL in 2021 as a Japanese Language Trainer. Currently, I serve as the Academic Head, overseeing academic operations across multiple centres, including our Mizoram branch.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Japanese Language from Nippon Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University. To further enhance my teaching expertise, I completed the Japanese Language Teachers’ Training Course (TTC-A, 360 hours) at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, conducted by the Japan Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.
After graduating, I joined VSL’s Siliguri centre, where I began teaching a small group of students. I worked there from 2021 to 2024 before relocating to our Aizawl, Mizoram centre. Since 2024, I have been serving as the Academic Head at the Mizoram centre. Over time, our program has grown significantly, and it has been incredibly fulfilling to witness our students transform their lives and achieve their goals through Japanese language education. Supporting and guiding them on this journey continues to be my greatest source of motivation and satisfaction.

Koushik Karmakar

I come from a small town of small dreams, Nabadwip.
After graduating in Biochemistry(Hons) from University of Calcutta, West Bengal, I have studied Japanese Language at Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata.
I started working as a Japanese language instructor at Veda School of Languages in 2023, to find out that it’s a place where students dream beyond boundaries and aim for global opportunities.
For the past 3years I’m training students at VSL who dreamt of working or studying in Japan, a country of excellence, discipline and innovation, and guiding them to success. From the very beginning, VSL has been working relentlessly for students who dare to dream big, pushing boundaries, towards global careers. Continuing to uphold its motto. “Changing Lives”.

Rinako Norimatsu
My name is Rinako Norimatsu and I am from Japan
I have been teaching Japanese at VSL for about two years
When I first arrived I was truly surprised by how strong the interest in Japan is among young people in India Spending time with students who work hard every day to achieve their goals whether to work or study in Japan has also been a great source of inspiration for me
I hope to continue supporting my students and be able to contribute even in a small way to helping them achieve their dreams

Milan Prajuli
Currently I am teacher (sensei) at Veda School of Languages (Siliguri Centre). I have completed my 4 years of Study in Japan and worked 7 years there. During my stay in Japan I, have gained valuable knowledge of language, culture and professional work environment.
I am passionate about helping students who are keen to work or study in Japan not only with language but culture and work ethics as well. I look forward to sharing my experience and contributing positively to academic community.

Mai Sadahiro
Hello,I’m Mai Sadahiro from the Mizoram Centre . I first visited India in 2016. At that time, I was completely captivated by India’s vibrant colours and energetic atmosphere. From that moment on, my goal became to “someday live in India.”
When I visited India again last year, I met a young woman. Coincidentally, she was a student studying Japanese at VSL-NEEC. My encounter with her led me to become a Japanese language teacher.
In my lessons, I focus on practical instructions that encourages students to actively utilize the vocabulary and grammar they have learned in class to engage in real and enjoyable conversations. I find it truly rewarding to be able to support my students in achieving their goal of “working in Japan.”
I was born and raised in Kagawa Prefecture, though I lived in Nara Prefecture during my university years. I also have work experience in both Osaka and Tokyo.
